Church donates

Herald Reporter
Members of the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints at the weekend donated clothing, stationery and toys to the 425 pupils at Mavhudzi Primary School in Goromonzi. Church members cleaned the classrooms and toilets at school. Spokesperson Mr Ken Sharpe said the assistance was part of the commitment made by the church to develop the school and accord its pupils facilities enjoyed by their urban counterparts.

“We have brought books, toys and clothing items for the children,” he said. “We hope every child at this school will get clothing items, books, pens and other educational materials.”

The church has also helped with a motorised borehole and a grinding mill, among other items. School head Ms Muneyi Tivafire thanked the church for the support.
