And the club’s mega rich owners are unlikely to flinch at the prospect of splashing out £60million to try to lure Lewandowski from Guardiola’s present club, Bayern Munich. The Pole, also a target for Manchester United last summer, has been a one man goalscoring machine ever since he moved to Germany, and Borussia Dortmund, in 2010. During his four years there he netted 103 goals in just 187 games in all competitions before joining Bayern on a free transfer two years ago.
Since then he has continued his free scoring streak with 41 goals in 56 Bundesliga games and another 14 in just 20 Champions League outings. — The Daily Express.
