A Bulawayo law firm, Coghlan and Welsh Legal Practitioners has donated groceries worth $3, 500 to Entembeni Old People’s Home, Percy Ibbotson Remand Home, Hostel for Girls and St Francis Home. Universal Rubber and Horse also donated some groceries to Ingutsheni Central Hospital.

The donations were handed over to the beneficiaries on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Coghlan and Welsh senior partner Promise Ncube said the donation was part of his organisation’s corporate social responsibility  and urged other city firms in the city to donate to charity.

Entembeni Old People’s Home matron Catherine Chiponda expressed gratitude to the donating company saying the donation came at a time when the centre was in need of food.

Ingutsheni Hospital’s operations director Nyasha Chibvongodze said 2013 had been a hard year for his institution and thanked the donors for the support.

Universal Rubber and Horse marketing director Fungai Nyagweta said the company would continue supporting Ingutsheni as part of its corporate social responsibility.
