City of Harare closes 228 buildings under Operation CBD Order Restoration

The City of Harare visited 599 businesses as of Friday last week and closed 228 buildings for non-compliance, while 214 buildings did not have business licences.

In a statement on the City of Harare Operation CBD Order Restoration for July 29 to August 1, 51 buildings did not have certificates of occupation.

“Two hundred and ninety 290 buildings have paid up bills and 190 buildings have approved building plans,” read the statement.

The City of Harare urges businesspeople and building owners in the Central Business District to immediately regularise their operations with the city to ensure total compliance.
