SOUTH Africa’s GladAfrica championship side, JDR Stars, have roped in Harare City’s skipper, Hastings Chapusha.
The 25 year-old-central defender is expected to be at the Pretoria side for the next two seasons.
The JDR Stars executive seem to have a soft spot for Zimbabwean talent.
The move, however, appears to be a massive blow for Taurai Mangwiro’s City, who are struggling in the relegation zone.
Chapusha will join Temptation Chiwunga, Ishmael Wadi at the club.
Tapiwa Mandinyenya has left JDR to join Ngezi Platinum Stars.
The jury is still out on Blessing Sarupinda, who was also at JDR Stars on loan from his parent club Sekhukhune United, last season.
Sarupinda has returned to Sekhukhune United and he was spared from the list of players, who were shown the exit, a few weeks ago.
Recently, he was linked with a permanent move to JDR Stars and CAPS United and it remains to be seen if he has what it takes to win the heart of the team’s new coach, Kaitano Tembo.
Chiwunga has been the club’s vital cog in the past two seasons for JDR, scoring nine goals from midfield.
Reports suggest he is being monitored by Amazulu, Swallows and several Super Diski teams.
