BULAWAYO College of Music successfully hosted the United Nations International Peace concert on Thursday night.
The concert was largely dominated by pupils from schools around Bulawayo among them, Gifford Boys High, Petra High, CBC, Falcon College, Girls College, as well as primary Schools, Centenary and White Stone.

The United Nations (UN) International Day of Peace is celebrated on 21 September each year to recognise the efforts of those who have worked hard to end conflict and promote peace throughout the world.

Petra Marimba Band gave a good account of themselves. The main event had an Orchestra band made up of between 30 and 40 pupils from both primary and secondary from different schools.

At intervals, schools where asked to sing their own peace song and Bob Marley could have been a happy man since most schools opted for his song, One love.

The girls from Petra moved the crowd with their Peace song and they had a standing ovation when they left the stage.
