BULAWAYO Musicians Association’s (BMA) interim chairperson Khulekani “Khuxman” Bethule has hit out at some artistes he accuses of rushing to criticise the association as a failure.
The association has been dismissed as a toothless bulldog by many musicians. They say it lacks direction and as such was not addressing challenges facing artistes.

Khuxman however, said he had done a lot hence the members asked him to continue as chair when his term ended last Friday.

“At the moment, we have a few members compared to the number of musicians that are based in Bulawayo so what should happen first is for musicians to join the association,” he said.

At a meeting held last week, musicians agreed to work on a new constitution to guide the running of the association.

“We agreed to panel beat our constitution and we will be having a new constitution. We are trying our best and hope all local artistes will join us in this cause,” said Khuxman.
