Several civil engineering companies are reporting increased business activity at this year’s edition of Mine Entra, Zimbabwe’s leading mining, engineering, and transport exhibition, which runs until October 8 10 at the Zimbabwe International Conference and Exhibition Smart City (ZICES).
The exhibition runs alongside the Africa Infrastructure and Built Environment Conference and Expo (AfriConfex), which features a Buyers Programme connecting suppliers to major mining operations.
Among them is Ground Up Civils, which says the expo has generated a wave of new enquiries and project opportunities within the mining and industrial infrastructure sectors.
Ground Up Civils Managing Director, Mr Admire Musingarabwi said the company’s participation at the event led to strengthened relationships with existing clients and opened new lines of engagement with potential partners.
“Mine Entra continues to be an important meeting point for the mining and construction sectors. We’ve held constructive discussions that could lead to tangible projects,” he said.
The exhibition, which attracted mining houses, suppliers, and investors, has been described by participants as a timely platform for gauging the outlook of Zimbabwe’s mining supply chain.
Ground Up Civils said follow-up meetings with potential clients are already underway, pointing to a positive business pipeline as the sector positions itself for continued growth.
