Clearing of debris is underway at Mbare Musika where a major fire swept through the Traders Market destroying stalls and the

goods on sale worth millions of dollars.

The Traders Market, a section of the iconic Mbare Musika, was burnt on Tuesday night leaving hundreds of traders devastated

and livelihoods shattered.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.

When our news crew visited the area on Thursday morning roads leading to the market were barricaded while traders were

milling around still trying to come to terms with their losses.

Several people were clearing inside the area while a handful of traders could be seen trying to retrieve some of their items.
