VETERAN rhumba/tshibilika musician Clement Magwaza is set to launch his new CD at Palace Hotel in Bulawayo this Saturday.
Running under the tagline “New Music, New Story”, the event will mark the latest chapter in the career of the guitarist and vocalist, who has maintained a following in Matabeleland.
Magwaza, alongside Macrey Super Sounds, will be supported by local acts Fortue Dawu, Mlambos Express Band, Dziba Le Mvula, Prosper Bafana and Bhora Bhora.
The launch follows his previous release, Indoda YiUmbrella, which was unveiled at Palace Hotel Gardens last year.
Magwaza said preparations for Saturday’s show were at an advanced stage, inviting music lovers to support him as he introduces his latest work.
“Everything is set for Saturday. This is more than just a CD launch, it’s a celebration of my journey and my contribution to the local music scene.
“The CD has seven tracks, which will all be unveiled tomorrow, and I am confident it will reach the streets this festive season,” he said.
The musician is expected to perform songs from the new CD alongside some of his earlier hits.
