CLINICS on Cloud Africa – operators of the Health ATMs – continues to penetrate the continent after securing an operating licence from the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA).
The Health ATM represents a revolutionary concept, automating what traditionally took hours in a hospital into a convenient five-minute walk-ins.
Similar to an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in a bank, the Health ATM is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment covering vital aspects of healthcare, including cardiology, neurology, gynaecology, and emergency facilities.
Clinics on Cloud Africa director Nyasha Nyamupaguma said the licencing by South Africa’s regulatory body underscores the organisation’s vision to make healthcare easily accessible across the continent.
“Our dreams and visions are becoming reality. We continue to get endorsements from regulatory bodies with the latest being SAHPRA, and our confidence has soared since receiving our operating license.
“Our devices are FDA- and CED approved, and we’ve even received government awards for the impact our Health ATMs are making.
“Each Health ATM offers instant screenings, diagnostic reports, and telemedicine consultations, all supported by an efficient and user-friendly interface,” said Nyamupaguma.
“This growing recognition underscores our mission of making healthcare accessible and equitable, regardless of a person’s geographic location.
“Our ATMs allow individuals to access their personal health information, empowering patients to actively participate in managing their health needs,” he added.
The development comes ahead of the company’s participation at the Africa Health Expo to be hosted in Cape Town, South Arica early next month.
Nyamupaguma said they will use the platform to take the initiative to other African countries.
“We are participating at the Africa Health Expo from September 2 to 4 in Cape Town where we expect to use the platform to introduce the concept to other African countries.
“These ATMs are built for scalability, inclusivity, and accessibility—ensuring that no one is left behind, regardless of location or socio-economic status.
“So far, seven African nations have embraced the Health ATM model, with more set to join this transformative journey.”
Clinics on Cloud Africa is achieving this mission by partnering with governments, district councils, and community organisations to reach underserved populations and strengthen local healthcare systems.
