The former Falcon member said he is looking forward to the new season and he will take it seriously.
“I think I had the break, which lasted for almost two years and I am now ready to return to the field.
“I think I can still play competitively and it only needs some practice and commitment to make it to the top.
“I will start to go to the gym and I will be geared for the new season. I miss playing the game but I am coming back this year.
“If the Mashwede Diesel Open is going to be held at Falcon I will make sure that I will be part of the field. I will look for a new kit before the season begins and I will try and familiarise with it before the Zimbabwe Open,” Nguru said.
Nguru is one of the veteran professionals who played along with the late Marko Chimusoro, Lewis Muridzo Chitengwa, Morgan Shumba and Jimmy Tawengwa, among several others. The veteran player was part of the competitive four-ball at Falcon that had Chimusoro, Vengesayi Phiri both late I-know Chisepo, Lovemore Chigumba, Masendeke.
Nguru has been off the greens after there were very few tournaments for professionals due to the tight economic situation.
He has managed to win several tournaments during his career and he believes he still has potential to make his presence felt on the Zambezi Tour.
Nguru will have to contend with some players like Brian Gondo who had a good season last year.
Several top professionals will be looking forward to make an impact especially in the prestigious Zimbabwe Open.
