A MBARE woman yesterday left court in a bitter mood after a peace order application against her co-wife was dismissed.
Presiding magistrate, Rutendo Machingura, dismissed Monica Dambiwa’s peace order application against Tendai Nyanzou, for lack of merit.
“I discovered that the respondent had children with my deceased husband on the day of his burial.
“Tendai is demanding that we sell the house I am currently staying in and give her half of the money. Last week, she was accompanied to my house by my father-in-law, saying she had a dream of my husband telling her how the property must be shared among us,” said Monica.
“To me that is unacceptable, how can she just come from nowhere and demand my hard-earned money? She is just a prostitute who wants an easy way out in life and I will not allow that.
“She is always at my house saying I should give her money for her children’s upkeep,” she added.
In response, Tendai argued that Monica was just in denial that they were co-wives.
“I knew that my husband had a wife and Monica was also aware of my existence.
“The only time I approached her was to serve her with the court papers from the Master High Court, which she refused to sign,” Tendai.
