THE trial of motivational speaker and life coach, Tafadzwa ‘‘Coach Taf’’ Mukoyi, could not start yesterday because the State’s star witness failed to attend court.

Mukoyi is facing charges of physical abuse after allegedly attacking his ex-wife, Loretta Mukoyi, at her Borrowdale home on February 24.

It was claimed that Mukoyi pushed her, causing her to fall on her back.

He had intended to take their child for a medical review but Loretta had arranged an online lesson for the child at the same time.

Loretta did not attend court and a warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Farai Makuyana appeared for the State.
