Coaches talk tough ahead of Chibuku Cup tie

HIGHLANDERS coach Hendrik Pieter De Jongh is refusing to read too much into Dynamos’ suspension woes ahead of Sunday’s Chibuku Super Cup semi-final.

Talented midfielder Denver Mukamba and striker Jairos Kasondo ,will miss the clash after picking up two yellow cards each, but Bosso’s gaffer says his focus remains on his own squad.

“Denver has not been starting for Dynamos. He has been used as a substitute and how can we be worried about that,” De Jongh told B-Metro. “He will not be playing so will be Kasondo. While we are aware, I’m a Highlanders coach and I will talk about Bosso issues.”

Dynamos mentor Kelvin Kaindu admitted his side will miss the duo’s influence but is confident the replacements can rise to the occasion. “It’s going to be another good game pitting Zimbabwe’s football giants,” Kaindu said.

With both sides struggling in the Premiership, the Chibuku Super Cup is their only shot at silverware this year.

Advance tickets are already on sale with prices ranging from $3 to $20.

The other semi-final sees MWOS take on Triangle United at Ngoni Stadium on Saturday.
