International Champion College’s founder Dr Tendesai Mushamba said he is proud of his two former students who decided to take a different path and started their own companies while still at school.
Two former head boys from the College, Tinotenda Sarawoi and Wilbert Ndongwe, decided to venture into entrepreneurship by forming their companies in pursuit of childhood dreams.

Sarawoi is the founder and managing director of Optimum Assets Property Group, a real estate company dedicated to asset and property development and management.

Wilbert Ndongwe
Ndongwe is the founder of Motus Vis Energy Group, a company dedicated to promoting energy efficiency and sustainability in Chitungwiza.
For Sarawoi and Ndongwe, the innovative initiative, which is rooted in Heritage-Based Education 5.0, is a culmination of hard work, dedication and commitment.
Dr Mushamba said the college provides a fertile ground for intellectual growth, leadership development and community engagement.
“Ndongwe’s role as a head boy for the class or 2021-2022 afforded him the opportunity to cultivate essential skills and was a pivotal moment in his leadership development, governance, communication and conflict resolution.
“This experience was instrumental in shaping understanding of effective leadership and its application in real-world contexts.
“As we reflect on Wilbert’s journey thus far, we are reminded that the intersection of academic excellence, leadership development and community engagement has created a powerful catalyst for growth. The lessons learnt are the relationships forged and the opportunities seized,” he said.
Motus Vis Energy Group has been at the forefront of driving energy efficiency initiatives in Chitungwiza.
Ndongwe said the mission is to empower individuals, businesses and institutions to adopt sustainable energy practices, reducing their carbon footprint and contributing to a cleaner environment.
“Motus Vis Energy Group’s vision extends beyond energy efficiency, but has also recognised many social challenges in and around Chitungwiza i.e. Youth-related crimes and drug abuse, which are often rooted in idle minds and lack of opportunities.
“To address this, we have established community building programmes aimed at creating employment opportunities, promoting education and fostering a sense of community among young people.
“Motus Vis Energy Group is providing training and job opportunities in the renewable energy sector, enabling young people to acquire valuable skills and gain employment and also offering support and resources to help young people return to school, complete their education, and pursue their goals,” he said.
