He said that between $150 000 and $200 000 was needed for the repair of the machine and equipment working along the dragline would be redirected and deployed to Chaba Mine to assist in the carriage of coal.
Mr Moyo said the major breakdown of the dragline would make them suffer business losses due to failure to deliver on time.
Mr Moyo added that HCCL was expected to run a trainload of coal to Mozambique everyday.
The company was using other means to ensure that mining continues, he said.
