SOCIALITE and comedienne, Anna Honde, has challenged registered music promoters to resume gospel shows.
She said there was a gap which needed to be filled by top promoters like 2 Kings and Chipaz Promotions.
In a short video posted on social media, she said:
“Thank you Chipaz Promotions for promoting different artists and different genres.
“I saw a flier where you are promoting Zim hip-hop, Zimdancehall, Sungura and Amapiano.
“Thank you for that and we really appreciate that.”
She added:
“However, I didn’t see any flier of gospel musicians.
“Does it mean that you don’t support gospel musicians or what?
“This is my plea to Chipaz Promotions to do something for gospel music and we will support you.
“As for me, I am a biggest fan of gospel music and as soon as you organise a gospel event, I will definitely attend.”
After her pleas, Chipaz Promotions decided to include a gospel show on the last day of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show.
It will be held at Harare Gardens on September 3.
Dubbed Dare Guru, the show will feature Baba Manyeruke, Mathias Mhere, Fungisai Zvakavapano, Mai Patai and Zolasko from Botswana.
