The huge turnout proved that there was room for more performers in the genre although Moyo put up a lukewarm show.
Some members of the audience were of the opinion that most local comedians go on stage and tell dry jokes that are irrelevant when they expect fireworks from start to finish.
“While Ntando’s act was average, I think where he and other local comedians miss it is that they just go on stage and fire at the audience with different jokes.
“What we expect as an audience is a story line that is humourous,” said one critic.
There are few professional comedians in the country, however, the genre seems to be on the rise and if the demand persist it is likely that many more comedians will be discovered.
The comedian performed alongside Sbozi, Djembe Monks, Breakequation, Asha Banton and young comedian, Clive Chigubhu, who was the master of ceremony.
Young hip-hop dance outfit, Breakequation thrilled the audiences with their jaw-dropping moves similar to the 1980s dance style breakdance.
