POLICE Golf Club will this afternoon host the Commander Air Force of Zimbabwe Charity Golf Day which runs under the theme “Touching lives through golf.”
The tournament seeks to raise funds to assist the less privileged of our society and a number of charities countrywide. The format of the game will be a fourball stableford and organisers are looking forward to great support from individuals and the corporate sector.
A newsletter said the AFZ was targeting helping rural schools and the elderly in this country.
“We are also aiming at maintaining Murongwe School in the Dande area of Mashonaland Central,” reads the newsletter. We urge both individuals and companies to donate in cash or kind.
“It will go a long way in helping the needy and their participation will be welcome.” The Commander Air Force of Zimbabwe Charity Golf Day started two years ago.
This year, a team of four will pay US$500 to take part and individuals will pay US$125 and registration will continue until mid-morning today.
