“There is likely to be a slight change of about five percent due to those people who will be matching other property holder rates.
“The pricing trend of commercial rental places remained moderate since people started using the United States dollar. This situation may continue for some time to come given the continued use of a more stable currency,” he said.
Mr Kapfunde said it was only the fall-behinds that were likely to cause changes this year on the commercial side.
“Let’s say some people were charging $25 per office while others were charging $20 or $15, those who were charging small amounts would want to match the rest of the market hence the slight change,” he said.
He however said it was difficult to accurately tell the major possible changes as the property sector was still in its closed period.
“Major changes will be noticeable starting in March after our closed period,” Mr Kapfunde said.
