With a line up comprising two of the most sought after musicians Sulumani Chimbetu and Jah Prayzah fans were spoilt for choice.
The performances from all the musicians was memorable. It is difficult to pick out the most outstanding act because all the musicians gave their best and the response from the audience was telling.
The Dembo brothers Tendai and Morgan were the first on stage and they did not disappoint. They belted their father’s hit songs such as “Paw Paw,” and “Chitekete,” much to the delight of the fans. Francis “Slomo,” Dhaka also joined the youngsters on stage and exhibited good moves.
The young artists should be credited for keeping their father’s legacy alive. After the Dembo brothers, Jah Prayzah upped the tempo with his usual energetic performance. Dressed in yellow gear, the youthful crooner and his “Third Generation Band,” made some military drills that fascinated revellers.
Jah Prayzah unleashed his sing along songs much to the delight of the crowd. Sulu later followed on stage.
Nicholas Zakaria did not show up.
