Conference disruptors warned

THE Zimbabwe Youth Action Platform (ZYAP) has issued a stern warning against any attempt to disrupt the forthcoming Zanu PF Annual National People’s Conference in Mutare, pledging to take decisive action against individuals seeking to undermine the

gathering.

Addressing a media briefing yesterday, ZYAP president Tonderai Chidawa said the conference, scheduled for October 13 to 18 at Mutare Polytechnic, was a forum for decisive action and not a “mere talk show” for internal political debate.

“We continue to monitor the situation on the ground with great care, particularly with regard to any threats to peace and stability as we approach the forthcoming People’s Conference in Mutare,” he said.

“We recognise that some misguided individuals may believe they can disrupt our path to the conference. They may think they can halt Resolution Number One. To them, we say: desist and be at ease. This issue is now firmly behind us, and nothing can obstruct

Resolution Number One.

Despite attempts by detractors to sow discord, our revolutionary President, Dr EmmersonMnangagwa, remains fully focused on his developmental agenda.

He also said any threats of violence at the forthcoming conference will be met with resolute consequences

“As representatives of the youth, we will not tolerate those who seek to impose their personal views as official party policy.

“Officials known to leak sensitive information must recognise that their time is running out. Cease allowing yourselves to be exploited by our adversaries.”
