Her firstborn daughter, Lesedi Matsunyane, fathered by her ex-husband Neo Matsunyane, is an expecting mum.
The Generations: The Legacy actress, who plays Karabo in the soapie, revealed the news in a magazine interview, where she was quoted as having said she was excited about the arrival of her grandson.
Little is known about Lesedi’s love life and who fathered her baby.
The public knows her as an aspiring actress who featured in some episodes of educational SABC drama, Soul City.
“I’m so happy that Connie isn’t ashamed to embrace her age. She knows she’s fabulous and being a grandmum won’t take anything away from her being a hard-working woman in the creative industry,” said a source.
The source added that Lesedi won’t have anything to worry about, even though she’s not married.
“Connie understands and supports her daughter.
“She was the same age as Lesedi when she fell pregnant with her. So this baby will be spoilt rotten,” the source told the Daily Sun.
The source further explained that they are glad Lesedi gets along with her mum as she grows older.
Said the source: “There was a time when Lesedi chose to live with her dad Neo and that really hurt Connie. But she eventually came back.”
Connie moved to Mzansi from Botswana over two decades ago.
She’s the executive producer and co-owner of Ferguson Films with husband Shona Ferguson. They have produced the Mzansi Magic drama, Rockville, where Connie plays Mavis. – Daily Sun.
