PICTURES dona��t lie!
A two-timing Bulawayo senior cop last week ran amok and smashed window panes of a house belonging to his wifea��s grandmother after she exposed his bed-hopping antics by producing pictures of him getting cosy with his alleged girlfriend.
The drama which attracted neighbours and residents happened on Thursday last week in Cowdray Park.
It is alleged that Sergeant Jullian Mapetere stationed at Luveve Police Station ran riot after he was cornered by his wife Sibonginkosi Moyo over his alleged adulterous affair with another woman only identified as Busi.
This was after Sibonginkosi produced pictures of the two a�� Mapetere and Busi seemingly kissing each other.
When B-Metro visited the house pieces of broken glass were strewn all over the yard. Sibonginkosi and her grandmother, who were still struggling to come to terms with the incident were being comforted by neighbours.
A teary Sibonginkosi who also sustained deep cuts in her hands said following the incident she was now living in fear of her husband.
a�?I am now living in fear following this incident. What happened is that for a long time I had been suspecting that my husband was cheating on me after I stumbled upon a string of love texts in his phone from another woman. When I phoned the woman she identified herself as Busi. At first she apologised saying she didna��t know that Jullian was married but she was now phoning me and insulting me.
a�?My suspicions were proven true when a man who claimed he had been sent by someone who works with my husband brought a memory card and said I should go through it to see what my husband was doing behind my back.
When I went through it I was shocked to see pictures of him and his girlfriend doing things.
a�?Trouble started when he returned home and I showed him the pictures. He immediately turned violent and started smashing window panes and damaged the main door,a�? said Sibonginkosi while trying to hold back her tears.
She said she was contemplating suing the girlfriend for destroying her marriage.
A resident who claimed to be close to the couple said Mapetere and a friend were allegedly seeing the same woman before the latter probably out of jealousy decided to be mischievous and stole the memory card with pictures of the girlfriend and gave it to Sibonginkosi.
a�?What caused the brawl is that one of Mapeterea��s friends stole his memory card with his pictures and his girlfriend during a beer drink before sending someone with it to his wife. From the evidence we gathered it is clear that the two were seeing the same woman that is why the other resorted to fixing his friend by exposing him to his wife,a�? said a resident who preferred anonymity.
Meanwhile, spirited efforts to locate both Mapetere and his alleged girlfriend for a comment were fruitless and their mobile phones were also not reachable by the time of going to print.
