A HARARE man has taken his ex-wife to court alleging that she stalks him and his new wife both at home and work.
Lancelot Mhute appeared before Harare Civil Court magistrate Ms Johanna Mukwesha seeking a protection order against Ashley Matikiti, whom he accused of persistent harassment and threating to bewitch his wife.
“She insults me using vulgar in public and threatens my wife that she will make her bleed every day,” he said.
“She follows me and my wife to work to insult us.”
He told the court that he was applying for a protection order to protect his wife.
“My wife and I do not work at the same place, I fear that Matikiti will attack her since I will not be with her,’’ he said.
He asked the court to restrain Matikiti from calling and sending him text messages.
“I have blocked her multiple times but she texts and calls me with different numbers,’’ he said.
He also asked the court to order Matikiti to stop visiting his house or Harare Central Police Station where he works to cause havoc.
Matikiti did not attend court, prompting Ms Mukwesha to grant a protection order in favour of Mhute which restrained Matikiti from insulting, stalking and threatening the couple.
