AFTER winning the Most Valuable Player Award at the just-ended Copa Coca-Cola international camp in Paris, France, Tafadzwa Dhliwayo believes he has a bright future in football.
Zimbabwe had two players attending the camp held from June 29 to July 3 — Dhliwayo from Gifford High School in Bulawayo and Joe Moyo from Guinea Fowl in Gweru.
The camp saw young players from around the world go through some training under the guidance of coaches from Paris Saint-Germain Academy. The camp was also focusing on the development and promotion of friendships.
The teenage footballers also had the opportunity to watch the Euro quarter-final match between France and Iceland on Sunday and spent a day with legendary footballer and Copa Coca-Cola ambassador Xavi Hernández.
Dhliwayo and Moyo returned home yesterday.
Speaking soon after their arrival at the Harare International Airport, Dhliwayo said he was excited to get the award.
“I was happy when I got this trophy. I didn’t sleep after receiving the trophy but I was expecting it because I was working hard during the camp. “
Moyo said he enjoyed being part of such an event as he got the opportunity to make new friendships.
