In Mashonaland East, Chemhanza beat Kwenda 1-0 in the boys’ section while Rutanhira dismissed Chiunye 3-0 to book their place in the girls’ national finals.
In Bulawayo Gifford defeated Mpopoma 4-0 on penalties to progress to the boys’ finals and Masocha prevailed over Montrose 3-0 in the girls’ competition.
Howard will be the boys’ representatives for Mashonaland Central after beating Centenary 1-0 and St Francis beat Mushumbi 4-3 in the girls’ category.
Gwanda High defeated defending champions Mzingwane 8-7 on penalties to progress to the national finals.
Mzingwane qualified by virtue of being the defending champions and the two schools will represent Matabeleland South.
In the girls’ section they will be represented by Silonga, who beat Swazi 1-0.
Matabeleland North will field Hwange, who beat Gloab 4-2 and Mosi-a-Tunya dismissed Somvuku 3-1 in the girls’ competition.
Zvishavane High proceed to the national finals to represent Midlands after they beat Manunure 1-0 and Matinunure defeated Dombotombo 3-1 to qualify for the girls’ finals.
Mashonaland West will be represented by Ngezi Baracks in the boys’ section.
They beat Rimuka 3-2 on penalties and Sodbury took the girls’ slot when they beat Waganuwi 1-0.
Manicaland’s Gaza beat Emmanuel 1-0 to be part of the 12 boys’ teams to converge in Mutare while Rukweza won 2-0 against Gwirindindi in the girls’ category.
Manicaland will field four schools with Sakubva having qualified on virtue of being the hosts and they will field a boys and girls’ team.
The winners in the boys’ section will get US$6 500 and the runners-up will walk away with US$5 500.
For the girls, the winners will pocket US$3 000 while the runners-up will get US$2 500.
