Dr Mahoso made the remarks while addressing senior officers of the Zimbabwe National Army, Zimbabwe Republic Police and Zimbabwe Prison Services currently undergoing a three-day training on peace support operation training at 5 Brigade headquarters in Battlefields yesterday.
“The nation has committed so many resources in efforts to come up with a national constitution but technocrats are trying to smuggle foreign ideas which have never been the values of Zimbabweans,” said Dr Mahoso.
“First there was the Lancaster House Constitution, Madhuku, the Kariba Draft, the 2000 draft constitution and now this Copac, we are tired of this constitution, let us focus ourselves to more pressing and serious issues. We need to go to elections first, then when the new government comes there is need to change the educational curriculum so as to teach youths about the country’s values.”
