COPS CATCH BEEF BANDITS’ GETAWAY CAR!Thieves ditch Honda Fit stuffed with stolen meat and vanish into the bush

B-Metro Reporter
A LATE-NIGHT patrol turned into a beefy surprise for police officers after they intercepted a suspicious silver Honda Fit near Amakhosi Garage in Bulawayo—only to find two full beef carcasses stashed inside!

It all went down around 1AM on 2 May. Officers spotted the vehicle with a burst tyre parked awkwardly along Masotsha Avenue. As they moved in, three unknown male suspects bolted from the vehicle and disappeared into the nearby bush, vanishing like ghosts.
When cops popped the boot, they were shocked to discover black plastic-wrapped beef carcasses, fresh and ready for the black market. The vehicle was immediately impounded.
Investigations led police to the registered owner in Queens Park, who claimed he had already sold the car—but couldn’t provide details of the new owner. The hunt is now on to track down the meat smugglers.

Inspector Nomalanga Msebele, Bulawayo police spokesperson, issued a strong warning: “We urge the public not to buy meat sold from homes. It’s illegal and poses serious health risks. Report anyone involved in selling uninspected meat.”
Anyone with leads is urged to contact ZRP Mzilikazi or their nearest police station.
