Corporates stand up to be counted for Victoria Falls Mayor’s Christmas Cheer Fund – enviromnet also gets a face lift…

COMPANIES and tourism players have responded resoundingly to promote the Mayor’s Christmas Cheer Fund in Victoria Falls which started with a 50km walkathon this morning.
Inter Africa Bus Service has donated a bus to transport walkathon participants to the 50km peg between Hwange and the resort city, while Mahelane Tours also carried people to the 20km peg.


Zimparks rangers and police in Victoria Falls provided security at the starting point to ensure safety from wildlife as the walkathon started before sunrise.
organisations Elephant Hills, Wild Horizons, Manor Manor, Cimas, Calm Medical, Youth Invest, Victoria Falls Anti Poaching Unit are participating in the walkathon and picking litter.
Paddys Veges, Mr Veggie, Rainbow Hotel, Zambezi Elite and others donated provisions including refreshments and fruits for participants.
Victoria Falls City Council staff are also partaking in both the walk and cleaning.
