ZIFA will today begin training of 120 volunteers for the forthcoming Cosafa Women’s Championship to be held in Bulawayo from September 13-24.

Volunteers will be trained in various disciplines that include IT, protocol, catering, marketing, hospitality, field operations, media and doping control.

They will be assigned to a department they show strength in during the training course.

Zifa communications manager Xolisani Gwesela said: “We are ready for this training course and look forward to hosting a very successful tournament.

“We hope that these volunteers will behave in a professional manner for the duration of the tournament. We want our foreign visitors to feel at home and enjoy our hospitality.”

The Cosafa Women’s Championship is expected to light up Bulawayo, which has been starved of international football for a long time.
