A MONTH from dazzling the world at the Arnold Classic, Helen Costa-Sinclair plans to celebrate her monumental win with her biggest fan and husband Orjan Sinclair.
That today is Father’s Day is fortuitous; as the 2017 Arnold Classic Women’s Body Fitness (under 163cm) winner plans to pay tribute to her partner for his love and support. “My husband is my biggest fan, and spending time with him- whether it’s watching movies or just relaxing- is the highlight of my day,” said the 36-year-old.
“He loves that I am an individual and loves it when I’m myself so whenever I’m off-season I’m back to being the outgoing butterfly that I’ve always been.
“My job makes it flexible for me to spend enough time both at work and at home, so basically a piece of me is everywhere I need to be and nothing makes me happier than that “she said
The two met at a mutual friends’ wedding back in 2001 and married sometime after.
Together they have two boys- Bradley (17) and Eric (14)- and the rest of the family plans to make today all about the older Sinclair (56).
On their plans, Helen said: “A champagne breakfast is the first order for the day, after which we will see how the day progresses and what he wants to do.
The younger Sinclair boys have opted for a more imaginative gift, as they are getting their father a David Bowie CD, because he is “so much in love with the Englishman’s music’.
The fitness trainer and two-time Ms Zimbabwe appears to be at peace with her life and career choices, and believs this partly due support structure at home.
“I thank God every day that I was gifted in having a job that is my passion”
“My Children are always with me and they are really getting to love working out with me every time so my duties as a mom are always fulfilled.
“Personally I have never sacrificed anything that I ever needed to get to where I am today”
“Fortunately I have love and support from my family and when the time comes that I need to be by myself and concentrate on my work, everyone goes out of their way to create an environment that allows me to do just that.
‘My husband especially,” she said.
