HARARE Council has launched a transformative agenda charter which seeks to transform their service delivery by the year 2028.
The charter will address the provision of quality water, management of waste water, solid waste management, environment management, public health service delivery, provision of affordable and quality education, settlements, social services and amenities and infrastructure development.
Addressing the transformative agenda workshop in Harare, Town Clerk, Engineer Hosiah Chisango has called for council employees to ensure an increase in revenue collection to ensure that they are able to deliver services as expected by Harare residents.
“We want to have a visible service delivery for the City of Harare, so to our employees of the city, we are saying it’s no longer business as usual, we need to perform and produce results.
“I urge everyone to engage towards this transformation plan to cascade the plan to ensure that there is service delivery that is expected of the city and its residents in sync with a middle income economy set vision.”
