Couple squabble in court

IN a case of suspected witchcraft, a Domboshava couple is at loggerheads after the husband took his wife’s panties.

Melody Madzora appllied for a protection order against her husband, Forget Chumburu, saying he took her panties and national identity card for unexplained reasons.

The protection order was granted.

Melody said Forget was abusive and showed the court scars on her body, she said were inflicted by him.

She also revealed that Forget evicted her from their matrimonial home.

“He stole my underwear and my ID and he doesn’t want me to have my ID, saying that he owns me.

“He chased me away from home after assaulting me, and I have the scars to prove it,” she said.

Forget argued that Melody is the one that abuses him by not sleeping at home.

He claimed that he has never assaulted her or chased her from their matrimonial home.

“She left home on her own. It has been a year now since she left.

“The issue about her panties are lies. I know nothing about that,” he said.

The magistrate ordered Forget not to abuse his wife.
