Court interpreter seeks US$10k

AN interpreter at Chitungwiza Magistrates Court who is battling a jaw tumour, is appealing for financial assistance to undergo a surgery in India.

The tumour is affecting Mr Lawrence Taonezvi Mubvumbi’s physical, mental and emotional being.

Mr Mubvumbi (35), who is employed by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), told The Herald that the surgery costs US$10 000.

“I have a tumour on my jaw and the doctors call it ameloblastoma,” he said. 

“It’s a swelling on the jaw and the only remedy, according to doctors, is to have the jaw removed. I cannot raise the required money.

“The cost of the surgery is estimated at US$10 000 and I appeal for donations because I am in pain.”

The surgery can be done in India.
