Coventry dislocated her knee as she prepared for the event that is set to run between 10 to 13 May during a run on.
Coventry’s manager Tyrone Seward said in a statement that although some preparation time will be lost as she recovers they are looking forward to the competition.
“The scan results reported no major injury and the physician has given advice for rehab to be done for three weeks. This is the timeframe it should take for the leg to heal.
“Although some time will be lost from her normal training schedule, Kirsty was on good form before the injury occurred and she continues to train her upper body in the gym and with the aid of a float and tying her feet together, she is able to continue some swimming,” said Seward in a statement.
