Covid-19 recovery rate now at 96 percent

NO Covid-19 deaths were recorded in Zimbabwe during the past 24 hours as the country continues its battle against the global pandemic which has so far killed more than 4 000 people.

Nine new cases were detected in Bulawayo, Harare, Manicaland, Mashonaland East and Mashonaland West.

Statistics from the Ministry of Health and Child show that the national recovery rate stands at 96 percent and the seven day rolling average for new cases stands at 30.

“We also recorded 20 191 more people who received their 1st dose of the Covid-19 vaccine today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 3 671 157 while 3 501people received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 2 747 693,” said the Ministry.

As of Sunday, Zimbabwe had 133 647 confirmed cases, including 128 437 recoveries and 4 699 deaths.
