A COWDRAY Park man was involved in a gay relationship has been arrested by authorities after members of the community exposed his escapades.

Sambulo Ncube who reportedly related to MDC leader Professor Welshman Ncube was picked up by police after his relationship with Humphrey Mutanaugwa was exposed.

Investigations have further revealed that the two have been involved in the gay relationship for a number of year but have been keeping it a secret, with Mutanaugwa even having a child with a woman, all in a bid to cover their tracks.

According to police sources, residents from Cowdray Park blew the whistle on the couple’s illicit relationship and had reported the matter.

“Sambulo Ncube was picked up for questioning while his partner is also being looked for. This was after Zanu-PF members got a tip off from their cells on their gay relationship. After they conducted their own enquiries they then approached the police which led to the arrest of Ncube.

“He is currently assisting police with investigations and also on the whereabouts of his partner, Humphrey Mutanaugwa,” said the police source.

This publication managed to interview some residents in Cowdray Park who confirmed the couple’s gay relationship.

“It was now an open secret that the two were gay lovers, initially we tried intervening through their parents but this all proved to be in vain as they continued with their relationship. This then led us to report the matter to the police because they were now a nuisance.

“What made us report this issue is that we all know that this is illegal yet these two were just flouting their relationship in front of us as if they do not respect the law. Worse still this has been going on for years now and we had been patient with them,” said the resident who identified himself as Nkosilathi Dube.
