CRICKET fans in Bulawayo will for the first time in over three years get to watch live international cricket when the three-match ODI series between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh gets underway at Queens Sports Club this morning.

Only 1 000 fully vaccinated fans will be permitted to attend the matches at the stadium after producing vaccination cards and positive identification when purchasing tickets.

Tickets will be available at Queens Sports Club at US$5 for a seat in the grand stand and US$2 for rest of the ground.
All spectators will be required to adhere to Covid-19 protocols at the ground, including wearing face masks at all times and observing physical distancing.

Bulawayo last hosted international cricket in July 2018 when the Zimbabwe men’s team faced Pakistan in five ODIs.
The Chevrons were whitewashed in that series.

The bilateral series between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh women will be the Lady Chevrons’ second ODI series after hosting Ireland in their first official ODI at Harare Sports Club in a losing cause last month.

After the Bangladesh series, Zimbabwe will shift their focus to the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier, which will be staged at four separate venues in the capital, Takashinga Cricket Club, Harare Sports Club, Sunrise Cricket Club and Old Hararians, from November 21 to December 5.

Zimbabwe are in Group B together with Pakistan, Bangladesh, the United States and Thailand.
