ZIM hip hop musician, Crooger, is over the moon after his inclusion in one of the biggest festivals set to be held in the UK on August 6.
Headlined by Winky D and Makhadzi, other artists who will perform are Ex-Q, Nutty O, Kikky Bada**, Anita Jaxson, and others.
Crooger, who is going to the UK for a second performance after his performance in 2019, said his inclusion on ZimFest was a great opportunity.
“It feels great to be part of the biggest Zimbabwean festival in Europe.
“It is a great opportunity for my music to reach a bigger audience.
“I will also use the opportunity to network with different people.
“It is my second time to perform in the UK since 2019.
“And, it feels great as I am looking forward to more tours.”
Crooger, who hails from a clique of hip hop artists known as 40 Gang, has promised fireworks at the event.
“You know 40 Gang is all about vibes and energy.
“That’s what we are all about, and this is what I will show the fans so they experience it.
“They should look forward to a scintillating delivery in terms of stage performance,” he said.
Crooger has released three albums in his musical career –Road To Fame (2013), Shumba Inoruma (2018) and Koncrete Jango (2021).
The first song, which introduced him to the Zim hip hop fraternity, was Mabroke Dudes, in 2013.
Other songs, which did well in the Zim hip hop circles from Crooger, are Muteuro (2018) and Ginde (2020).
He started his hip hop career in 2013 before taking a break to further his education at university level.
