AS the Zifa Central Soccer League (CSL) enters the home straight, the league’s management committee has advised that all matches would be played at the same time starting with the next fixtures.

The CSL has written to clubs informing them they would not tolerate any fixture postponement.

“Please be advised that we are now approaching the end of the season and all the remaining league games will be played according to the fixtures schedule as previously communicated to all clubs,” wrote CSL administrator Gift Nyapomwe.

All the league fixtures for this coming weekend will be played on Sunday at the same time as part of efforts by the league management to reduce incidents of match-fixing.

This year’s promotional race is likely to go to the wire with Blanket Mine, who have amassed 54 points, enjoying a slim two-point lead over Shabanie Mine at the top of the league table.

Third-placed Ivan Hoe have 46 points, while Tongogara sit on 44 points and the two still have an outside chance of springing a surprise.

Whawha, who were relegated after a season’s flirtation in the Premiership, also have an outside chance with 43 points.

Blanket Mine maintained their grip at the top of the log by dispatching visiting ZRP Beitbridge 2–0 at Blanket Mine, while Shabanie Mine kept the heat on the log leaders with a hard fought 2–1 win away to Kwekwe Sables.

Sables look set to be playing in Division Two next season, as they have only collected a paltry 14 points from 24 games.
