It’s no secret that the country has been hit by a serious fuel shortage that is seeing some motorists sleeping in fuel queues with the hope to be served first in the morning.
However, this already bad situation that has seen many fights at the fuel pumps is being worsened by fuel service stations like Flo Petroleum (Burnside branch) whose attendants are deliberately frustrating motorists by taking long to attend to them.
Last Saturday just after midnight, I joined a very short queue that had eight vehicles with the hope to be attended to in about at least 30 minutes. I calculated 30 minutes because there were two attendants who were only selling fuel worth $35 (approximately 24 litres) per vehicle.
I was in for a rude awakening as I was mysteriously attended to after one hour, thirty minutes. For a moment, I thought there were cars being smuggled into the queue only to realise the attendants were taking their sweet time.
As a concerned customer, I’d like to urge this garage’s management and attendants to value its customers and serve us swiftly.
