CUT is the only university in the country that owns fully fledged hotels which are also utilised for training and research as it seeks to be regional centre of excellence for hospitality and tourism studies.
These are:
l Chinhoyi University Hotel (34 rooms and 500-seater conference centre).
l Orange Grove Motel (41 rooms and 1 000-seater conference facility).
CUT Farm
This 1 981-hectare farm is used for agricultural teaching and research and also encompasses commercial farming
Information and Documentation Centre
This is an ICT-driven facility for research through the provision of e-journals for agriculture and other fields.
Student Affairs
CUT has some of the best conditions in the country specifically addressing students’ welfare. The quality of life for a CUT student is second to none. It includes the following:
l It is the only institution that offers free transport to its 3 000+ students to and from the university.
l It has established the Directorate of off Campus Life to look after the welfare of non-resident students.
l It has some of the best student facilities: a multi-purpose all-weather gym hall, 2 x tennis court, 2 x soccer, cricket and rugby fields. An international standard swimming pool, a refurbished and well equipped Student Health Service, 2 x 200 computer laboratories which operate 24 hours.
l Peace and tranquillity are at the core of student life at CUT.
