admincyclists will participate in the upcoming Schwalbe Tour Transalp in support of Mashambanzou Orphans and Vulnerable Children affected by HIV and Aids.
PwC chairman Mr Tinashe Rwodzi, who is spearheading the campaign, said the project is an excellent way of ploughing back into the community.
“PwC is passionate about helping Zimbabwean orphans and vulnerable children achieve their dreams and wants to help with creating awareness and raise funds for the Cycle Trust Fund that will benefit orphans at Mashambanzou Care Trust.
“We hope to incentivise and inspire other corporates and organisations to help create awareness and raise funds for vulnerable children,” he said.
The envisaged support from the fund includes educational support, vocational skills training, food supplies and clothing.
Mashambanzou Care Trust head sister Ms Magret McAllen said the Mashambanzou Care Trust was greatly thankful to the cyclists’ initiative and kind-heartedness towards the organisation.
“We are very appreciative of this goodwill gesture and we hope that the money we get will benefit the needy in the community,” she said.
Sister Magret and the late Sister Noren Knlan founded Mashambanzou in 1989.
