Cyprianos brothers back in action in US

CYPIANOS brothers, Andressious and Brendon are set to take to the pool this week for their respective colleges at different swimming conference championships in the United States.

Brendon, who was awarded a scholarship at Mars Hill University last year, will take part in the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships that start on Wednesday in Charlotte while Andressious will be part of the Pace University swimming team that will compete in the North-East 10 Conference Championships.

Brendon revealed he will be seeking to break records for two events, the200m individual medley and the 200m backstroke.

“I will be looking to improve my times overall while focusing on setting new times for the 200m individual medley and the 200m backstroke.

“I’m also targeting to qualify for the Division Two finals scheduled for later this year,” he said.

The Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships are scheduled for Charlotte, in North Carolina.

The former Christian Brothers College pupil revealed he is eyeing the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and 2019’s Fina World Aquatics Championships scheduled for South Korea and would be hoping to make the qualifying times.

The both conference championships will run from Wednesday till Sunday. The events are a crucial part of the college sporting calendar.

Andressious said he is eager to better his times as he focuses on his objective to make it to the 2020 Olympics.

The North-East 10 championships will be taking place in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Coach and father to the two swimmers, Edmore revealed he would be travelling with his wife, Nokuthula, to give support to the boys during the championships.
