“Obviously, at that age, a child isn’t old enough to get up and go pick up a bottle herself,” District Attorney Robert James responded back to WSB.
“Children at four months old are fed whatever it is they consume,” he said.
Speaking with WAGA Dr David Goo of CorrectMed Pediatrics said that even a small amount of alcohol in an infant’s system can be fatal.
The effects are decreased breathing, low blood sugar levels and coma.
“It’s tiny amounts that can cause significant danger to these infants,” he said. — Daily Mail.
