Dam Levels up

Dam levels countrywide are now 71 percent full with some recording over 100 percent. According to statistics released by the Zimbabwe National Water Authority on Thursday, in Gwayi catchment area Pollards Dam by Thursday last week was 100, 5% full, Lower Mgusa 109%, Kalope 102%, Insukamini 106%, Exchange 111,9% Ngwenya 100% Tshangwa 101,4%, Tshongokwe 115,9%, Shangani 113% and Mgululu 101,4%.

In Manyame Catchment Area, Chivero Dam was 106% full while Harava recorded 100%.

In Mazowe, Arcadia Dam, Negomo, Mwarazi, Nyambuya, Kushinga Phikelela, Rufaro, Chiwake, Chesa and Mufurudzi recorded 101,2%, 100,9%, 103,6%, 100%, 101%, 100%, 100%, 106% and 104,7% respectively.

In Runde,  Nyajena Dam was 126% full while Bangala, Muzhwi, Jiri and Tokwane recorded 105%, 113,9%, 100% and 110%.

In Sanyati seven dams were over 100% full with Ngondoma Dam topping the list with 123%.

In Save catchment, 10 dams were over 100% full with Chako on the lead with 107%.
