Dancehall acts take centre stage

DANGERZONE musician Sean Milia put up a top notch performance at the Hustlers Road to Fame challenge on Saturday where he performed as a guest artiste. The Harare-based artiste had fans on their feet dancing to his tunes. He was at his best showing his prowess on songs such as One More Time Nerudo, Tapinda Murudo, Kunge Beyonce and Vakundiziva.

The competition kicked off on a high note on Friday with a number of DJs taking turns to entertain fans on the turntables, but it was on Saturday that the tone for the challenge was set through some good dancehall music.

DJ Lazy Tee was at his usual best keeping fans entertained before the gig began. He had everyone on the dance floor as he “dropped” beat after beat.

The competition began around midnight and was dominated by members of newly formed dancehall group Kingmanship family, who proved to fans that they will soon become a force to reckon with on the dancehall scene.

First on stage was Kingmanship member, Silent Assassin Senko who gave a good account of himself, singing two songs from his latest album Kukura Kwangu. He thrilled fans with some good lyrics which had fans jumping in excitement.

Bovas and Wyper also gave a good performance coupled with good lyrics and some neat dance moves.
The show was however disturbed during Wyper’s performance when a technical fault caused a malfunction on the DJs laptop, resulting in a 30 minutes delay.

Fans remained patient for the 30 minutes and waited for the show to continue. When it did, Wyper continued from where he had left off.
The final performance came from General Python who showed maturity and did well when he welcomed another seasoned performer, Centre Party, to the stage.

The show continues on Friday and Saturday with more action expected as another DangerZone artiste, Freeman of the Joina City fame expected to be at the joint.
