Fresh from winning big at the recently held Zimbabwean dancehall awards – the trio of Wallace Chirimuko, Romeo Anthony and Soul Musaka are billed to perform at CSC Social Club in Chinhoyi tonight.
Wallace who is popularly known as Winky D alias the Ninja president begged four accolades for Best Video and Choreography for the song “Tsamba Kuvashakabvu”, Best Social Message for “Mafira Kureva”, Best Live Performer of the Year and Best Male Artiste. Winky D proved to all and sundry that he was still the main man in Zim dancehall music as he conquered again at the inaugural awards ceremony.

However, he still has a lot to prove to his fans when he takes to the stage tonight.

Also referred to as a the “champion of the youths” or “the poor people’s devotee”, Winky D has not performed in Chinhoyi for a while now and it is highly likely that he will put up a good show. His signature chant which goes like: “hauite hauite hauite” has almost become an anthem among dancehall music lovers.

Last but not least, its Anthony who is known as the “dancehall fada” aka Shinsoman by his adoring fans. He definitely was the biggest find last year in dancehall music with his chart topping hit “Mawayawaya”.
